I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
